Fabuloid 30% off (additional 10% off if you buy two or more)

Well, ask and you shall recieve. In my previous post I talked about a new line of clothes called Fabuloid. This weekend they are offering 30% off everything, plus an additional 10% off if you buy two of something. The clothes are super cute, and I have gotten nothing but compliments when I wear them.

Fabuloid

This hardly counts as discount content, but I just can't help myself. On Saturday, I visited a little boutique in Hayes Valley called Fabuloid. They make their own stuff, down the street, from end runs of extravagant material. The cuts range from classic to retro, and are incredibly fresh and fun due to the fabrics (and combinations of fabrics). I was immediately attracted to the gouchos with big pockets in a stretchy blue denim pattern and a bright silk blouse with a pink and red Asian pattern. So far I have worn a cowel-necked top in a blue metallic fabric (I know, sounds disco, but trust me it is really gorgeous) and the gouchos and I have been stopped many times by random people complimenting me on the clothes.

Sign up for the newsletter, as they have 30% off sales from time to time. (I just missed the one last Saturday). They will have online shopping up and running soon.

Remember Esprit de Corp?

I remember as a high schooler cashing my paycheck from Lo Coco's pizza, going to the outlet on Mississippi and coming out with 7 to 8 bags of clothes. They had giant bins of stuff... you could literally throw yourself in one and just dig for hours. Well, the outlet is no more but the brand still exists. And they are having a 70% off sale. I am debating about buying some shoes, at $19.80 you kinda can't go wrong.

sunday paper item

in today's paper there is a michael's ad and that ad has a 50% coupon which was good today and will be good tomorrow. they sell thomas the tank engine stuff there so I'm going to get a battery operated train engine for little elliot because lord knows I am not going to pay $20. how can those things cost that much in the first place? they also have 50% off all baskets and frames, 40% off artist drawing pads and some other things, I don't remember everything.

day one

and what a day it was. I was in no shape to leave the comfort of home until the afternoon hour but the bargains waited for me.

first stop: anthropologie. they were closed today yet I found joy in the 75% off christmas items sign displayed on the table that held the tree skirt I felt fondly for at the after christmas sale. at that sale it was 50% off (regular price is $128) and I knew in my sale bones that I should hold out. ten am tomorrow we will come together for $32. plus tax.

next stop: bay street and there old navy was puking out the markdowns. lots of stuff was on clearance and that was all an extra 30% off. I bought five long sleeved shirts for oli, a two dollar shirt for myself (and it is really cute, navy blue with three quarter sleeves and says "utah" in a star wars poster font-ish way. the star wars posters with mark h. and carrie f.), a pair of fleece gloves for running (I've wanted them for a while but just could not pay more than two dollars. need met this afternoon.) AND finally a full priced tank top all for $32 which includes tax.

conclusion: there was other stuff at bay street but nothing I needed to have. I bought a tree topper at pottery barn but I think on principle I will be returning it. it was only 30% off, I can't believe I bought it! the only thing I can say for myself is that it was the first stop, I wasn't in the right space yet. banana republic had a lot of stuff marked way down but I think the quality is not so good, especially since it is still all over $20. claire's had all the gift items at 75% off and it wasn't all christmas stuff so you could stock up on items for the five to seven year old birthday girl in your life. now I am waiting for some shoes I love to go on sale at rabat, the erica tanov sale for a headband I love and the dish sale for sundry items at a super discount. 06 = xo
